wavves - king of the beach

Based in San Diego, California, Wavves is a relatively new band on the scene.  The Cali trio released their first studio album in September of 2009 on cassette.  Talk about lo-fi, eh?

Their third and newest studio album, King of the Beach, was released in early August of this year and to much praise.  This new album, albeit still lo-fi, has an overall cleaner, smoother feel.  The punk-, surk, lo-fi rock album has a gritty yet upbeat edge that makes for a great soundtrack to the transition from summer to fall.

Check out the funky video for their single "Post Acid" below.
