Chris' Musical Musings

by Chris Ripple

This week I received some exciting news. I found out that Oberhofer would be releasing his new album sometime in early 2015. Oberhofer came down to the KRCX in the past to record a live session. It's nice to see him finally prepping for another album. The success from his first album leads me to believe that this next album will bring the same vibes and fun that the first album brought.

93.3's Not So Silent Night is just around the corner. Half Moon Run, Vance Joy, Fitz & The Tantrums, and Cage The Elephant will all be there. I'm really looking forward to this because the only band I've seen live in this group is Cage The Elephant and they were absolutely amazing. Other than Cage The Elephant, I'm really looking forward to Fitz because of their great live band reputation. Vance Joy has also grown on me and I'm really looking forward to witnessing him play Riptide live. Not So Silent Night is going to be great this year and if you haven't gotten tickets yet make sure you pick them up!

Vance Joy and Jaymes Young will be here on November 22nd. Personally I like Jaymes Young more because I've been exposed to him longer, but Vance Joy is definitely a must see. Both guys are amazing musicians and have sold out the Bluebird Theater. If you're going to this concert I'm extremely jealous of you!
