KRCX was lucky enough to be invited to be an official media representative of Arise music festival! Arise is celebrating its 6th year of promoting environmental consciousness, creativity, art, community building, and social justice. The festival will take place over three days , August 3-5, in Loveland Colorado and it features numerous artists ranging from well known acts to the up and coming artists of tomorrow. Trevor Hall, Slightly Stoopid, Thievery Corporation, and Pepper are just a taste of the diverse lineup Arise offers, but it doesn't stop with the music. “Arise is more than a festival, it’s a movement.” It's about fostering a global consciousness which heralds community, sustainability, and creativity. On the sustainability front, Arise emphasizes commitment in fighting global warming. They’ve put in place many measures which include planting one tree for every ticket sold, providing an organic farmers market inside the festival grounds, permaculture workshops, and implementing ‘leave no trace ethics.’ I invite you to tune in to KRCX as our representative provides content which explores Arise further. Help Arise achieve its goals of fostering a more sustainable and just world. Summer is here and the community is coming together.
