It’s Timeeeee: Holiday Spirit from KRCX

“It’s timeeeeeeeeeeeee!”
Heyyy, it’s Alma! Yes, the girl from behind the lyrics here at KRCX.
Thank you so much for stopping by our little corner of the internet. We appreciate every visit, every reader, and every soul who shares a moment with us during this busy season. As the holidays begin to shine around campus, we hope you’re feeling that spark too, the same one that makes you want to turn the volume up and let the season in.
“It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas,” and even if life has felt overwhelming, remember that the holidays aren’t about perfection, they’re about presence. About slowing down. About letting a little light in.
Play “Shake Up Christmas” by Train, or let José Feliciano remind you with “Feliz Navidad, próspero año y felicidad,” that joy can be simple and warm. And, of course, December doesn’t really start until someone makes the grand announcement that “All I Want for Christmas Is You” is officially acceptable to play on repeat.
But in the middle of the glitter, music, and rushing, here’s a reminder from us at KRCX: Your mental health matters, today, tomorrow, and always.
It’s okay to rest. It’s okay to unplug. It’s okay to say no. And it’s more than okay to ask for help if the weight feels too heavy. The holidays can be beautiful, but they can also be hard, and you don’t have to navigate them alone.
We’re grateful for you, for listening, reading, vibing, and being part of this community. May this season bring you comfort, joy, and a playlist full of songs that make your soul feel held.
With warmth, music, and so much love,
Alma & the entire KRCX Staff ♡
