Starting off Quadeca is DIFFERENT. Every other concert I have been to, the star singer starts saying “Hey how are you guys doing? How is Denver doing?” but he started off by fixing a flag from his latest album. And there was a light right in the middle of the stage. My guess was that the light was supposed to be the “Moon” from his newest album, and album image.
I actually found out about Quadeca through my job at KRCX Radio at Regis University. They asked if any of us wanted to go to his show, and I thought it’d be cool to check it out. I’d listened to a couple of his songs before, but I wasn’t super deep into his music. Once I started listening more, I realized how different his sound is, the way he blends emotional lyrics with these really unique, cinematic beats just pulls you in. During the concert he had songs where you can be all crazy, but then he would switch up to slow songs. A lot of artists don't do that, So I thought that was pretty cool.

The concert was in Denver last week, and the vibe as soon as I got there was insane. People were lined up outside early, and everyone looked ready to have a good time. Most of the crowd was dressed super chill, hoodies, beanies, band tees, and everyone was already talking about what songs they hoped he’d play. As soon as the lights went out and the bass hit, the whole place started screaming with full energy. It felt real, and loud. I have never experienced a concert like that, So I will for sure remember that concert.
Quadeca came on stage and started performing songs from his newest album, and honestly, hearing them live was actually pretty cool. The vocals from the girl were honestly nice. Not everyone has a person that does their vocals, the transitions between songs, the way he moves around the stage, everything just seems very chill and laid back. The lighting was dark and moody, with these trippy visuals behind him that made it feel like we were on a boat for some of his songs. And also the flashing lights that changed based on the beat was pretty cool. A few songs had the whole crowd singing along, and during the slower moments, everyone just kind of stood there, completely locked in and singing. During his concert at Denver he was sick, he asked the crowd to be his choir and I quote “Give me 30% of your voice” since he was not going to be able to sing for the whole concert. I remember him giving the crowd some vocals they had to sing for a song, and honestly it was pretty funny hearing them try and sing.

One of my favorite parts was how connected he was to the crowd. He cracked jokes between songs, gave little speeches about what the music meant to him, and really made it feel personal. He gives a thank you to his 4 members of the team. Saying their names and what they do, which was pretty cool because he values them. He also mentions that if it weren't for them he would not be here today. You could tell the fans weren’t just there for a show — they were there because his music means something to them. By the end, it felt less like a concert and more like a new experience.

The event took place at the Bluebird Theater on Colfax, near downtown Denver. The opener was Feardorian, who performed songs from his album Out the Past With a Window. My favorite tracks were “Backbone” and “Snowed In.” His energy was vibrant and contagious; he kept the crowd hyped, taking water breaks and even tossing water to people while catching his breath. Dorian is from Atlanta, so the Mile High altitude definitely got to him; at one point, he paused and said, “Hey guys, I have asthma give me a minute.” After a brief moment of silence and a few instrumental tunes, Quadeca came out, promoting his album Vanisher / Horizon Scraper. My personal favorites were “Forgone” and “Thundrr.” Quadeca has a special way of connecting with the audience the crowd was singing right back to him. It was just magical. A night that’s definitely one for the books.
