Jailine Manriquez’s Perspective:
Best halftime show EVER!!!! Loved when he taps a little kid at the “wedding”, this demonstrates how you are not Hispanic if you have never slept in those chairs when you were little at a party. I loved how Benito at the end said every American country there is including the flags. Having different flags from different countries. I loved how in the football at the end it said “Together, we are America” I thought it was a great message. I loved how he had Becky G, Karol G, Cardi B,and Pedro Pascal as dancers or in the background. Even though they did not sing it was a great message to show that other singers/celebrities are with him (HE IS NOT ALONE). Seeing this makes me proud as a hispanic, And I would choose to be latina in every lifetime!!!!
Magdalena Tapia’s Perspective:
First of all, God bless all Latinas, and God bless where they from!! Everyone on that field KILLT IT. I'm so glad that Bad Bunny took the opportunity to make his presence on the field a representation of solidarity and love. It is truly what we need. From the diversity in references, to guest appearances, to countries, this halftime show was one for the books fr. The music was mixed wonderfully, the choreography was explosive and contagious, and the direction told a great story, representing different parts of the Puerto Rican island and culture. Aunque mis raíces están en México, hoy me sentí de verdad como sí fuera de P FKN R! Shoutsout el Conejito Malo for bringing us all Latino pride, no matter what side of the imaginary lines you stand on. And shoutsout the Latina baddies frfr.
“My name is Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio. And if I’m here today at Super Bowl 60, it’s because I never, EVER STOPPED BELIEVING IN MYSELF! You should believe in yourself too. You’re worth more than I think, believe me.” - Bad Bunny says while MONACO plays.
Marcela Macia’s Perspective: In a world full of hate, Bad Bunny reminded everyone that we need to be united. Everything about this show was perfection; it will definitely be the most talked-about halftime show. Everything from his appearance to the setup to the camerawork. His performance was more than entertainment; it was a statement about unity, representation, and resistance. Don't be ashamed of where you come from. BE PROUD AND BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!!! Bad Bunny took the opportunity to celebrate his roots, his language, and his people on one of the biggest stages in America. This goes to show to never ever give up on your dreams!!!
Bad Bunny wakes up a kid sleeping on 3 aligned chairs during the wedding, unlocking a core childhood memory for a lot of us while he performs BAILE INoLVIDABLE.
Alma Blanco’s perspective:
As a fellow Puerto Rican, this performance was really meaningful to me, not only because it represented Puerto Rico, but all of Latin America. The fact that every single detail had meaning is crazy to me. The sugarcane field represented not only slavery in the Caribbean and the exploitation of resources, but also the work of all immigrants, because immigrants built America.
The way he represented real people, like the woman from the shop in the Nueva York scene, was powerful. She’s a real woman who people have tried to kick out, but she refuses to back down, just like many Puerto Ricans. Ricky Martin singing Bad Bunny’s song really touched me too. He is one of the biggest icons in Puerto Rican families, and hearing him sing about comparing Puerto Rico to Hawaii is something we’ve been fighting for recognition of for such a long time. He also showed real problems, like the power outages on the island, to bring more awareness. And when he pulled out the original Puerto Rican flag, the light blue one that was banned under the Gag Law, when people were literally killed for showing it, that moment gave me chills. When he gave the Grammy to a kid representing his younger self, it broke my heart, because it’s something we all wish we could do for ourselves.
My favorite scene after the flag was when he mentioned every country in the Americas, and the ball that said “Together We Are America.” I also loved the phrase, “The only thing more powerful than hate is love.” This whole presentation is really special to me. It makes me proud and happy to be part of the Hispanic and Latino community.
Johnny Estrada’s Perspective:
Thank you, Bad Bunny!!!! This is what the world needed today. The message behind the whole performance shows that people from outside of this country is what brings the ultimate unity in America by sharing our diverse cultures and being able to express it to a point people can understand us (that’s not me speaking for PR in specific, but mainly Latin America), glad it remained positive while also establishing that the countries Bad Bunny named are what make this country whole, and without these Latin American countries, America wouldn’t be what it is known to be today. Look at this performance for example, THEY NEED US!!!!!!
Jessica Menendez’s Perspective:
I think it was amazing, when he had all the flags on the field it was like he was reminding us that immigrants and Latinos belong here as well. Then hearing him honor each latin country at the end was really emotional. Latinos were the center of everything and every tiny detail he put into the stage and areas he was singing just shows not only how far our communities have came but also to show unity, resilience, and proof that future generations that come from immigrant families and communities deserve to have big dreams that they could accomplish. Also having all of the celebrities plus Ricky Martin and Lady Gaga singing in my opinion felt like he wasn’t alone when giving the message “Together, We are America” he had sooo much support and he did not disappoint in the execution of the greatest half time performance of all time. NOT TO MENTION he set a new record for having over 135.5 million people watch the halftime show.
SHOUT OUT PR!!! They did it big with this one.
